According to data miners, Fortnite‘s infamous landmark Tilted Towers might be destroyed yet again just over a month after it had finally reappeared in its original form. Although it’s known as a dangerous spot to land in the battle royale game Fortnite, it has become a fan-favorite over the years and has undergone many transformations. Tilted Towers returned in January of this year, but it seems that it may not last long.
Tilted Towers has served as a central point in Fortnite, where most players drop from the bus and quickly eliminate others. The location is widely known for its high-rise buildings and abundance of loot. However, Tilted has consistently undergone disasters and changes in the game. Among these instances are earthquakes, meteors, a volcano, and CUBE (a purple cube set on causing death and destruction). Due to the destruction and rebuilding of the landmark, Tilted Towers has a few different versions including Neo Tilted, Tilted Town, Gotham City, and Salty Towers. After the prolonged absence of Tilted Towers in its original form, the location returned once the snow it was buried under melted allowing it to become a popular landing spot in Fortnite Chapter 3, just as it was in previous chapters.
Unfortunately, Tilted Towers may not last long and might be destroyed once again. According to PCGamesN, data miners have recently discovered evidence of Tilted’s demise, inferring that it could most likely be due to an earthquake caused by the Imagine Order and their digging. In an image shared by a leaker of game data, the Fortnite map is shown with 3 craters forming a triangle around Tilted Towers. It seems as though Tilted Towers is continuously doomed to be destroyed, so it is not surprising to fans of the game that the location will once again be in danger. As of right now, tremors can be felt throughout the map hinting at the earthquake, but the reasoning behind the craters is currently unknown and players are currently busy finding the mailbox locations in Fortnite Chapter 3 to destroy them for a weekly challenge.
Fortnite is extremely successful, amassing millions of players every year. Epic consistently adds updates to the game, ensuring that every season provides players with new and exciting aspects to interact with. It’s no wonder that many fans have turned to data mining within the game to explore everything that the developer provides and they are quick to share all of their discoveries with the community on social media. The popularity of the game isn’t only confined to gameplay, however. Fans have also been rewarded with virtual concerts from collaborative artists within Fortnite, including the new Soundwave Series.
Although Tilted Towers may be disappearing from the map once again, the community is thrilled and intrigued with what will happen next in the rest of the latest Chapter. Season 1 of Chapter 3 will end on March 19, so fans most likely will have an answer regarding Tilted Towers by then. What might happen to the Fortnite landmark after that point is perplexing, especially given its history.
